Biography
Hendrik Heinz completed his PhD in 2003 at ETH Zurich and carried out postdoctoral studies at the US Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder and enabled accurate simulations of complex biomolecular-material interfaces at the nanoscale by developing Interface Molecular Dynamics. He authored more than 70 publications and received several honors and awards.

Computer simulation of inorganic-(bio)organic interfaces, biomineralization, development of force fields for the quantitative prediction of interfacial properties, hierarchical simulation of solar cells and conductive composite materials, structure-property relationships in nanocomposite
