Orchidea Maria Lecian completed her International Relativistic Astrophysics in Physics and Astrophysics in Dec 2008, Sapienza University of Rome and postdoctoral studies from IHES- Institut des Hautes E'tudes Scientifiques, Mx Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics- Albert Einstein Institute, and Sapienza. She has been Researcher at Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Department of Theoretical Physics and Physics Education- KTFDF, and has been Prof. of Physics at Sapienza, Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, DICEA- Department of Civil, Constructional and Environmental Engineering, member of Research consortia, published more than 35 papers in reputed journals and been serving within memberships and chair positions in Journals and Conferences.

He obtained his Ph.D. in School of Environment (2014) at Tsinghua University and recipient of several awards and fellowships including Top 10 Postgraduate Award of Tsinghua University, working under the supervision of Prof. Junhua Li. In the meantime, he also collaboratively worked in the laboratory of Prof. Hongxing Dai at the Beijing University of Technology. He was awarded (2015) a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales. He was recently awarded (2018) a University of Sydney Senior Research Fellow.

Dr. Maric has completed her PhD in 1996 from Kyoto University in Japan. She worked for industry in Japan and USA before becoming Program Manager at the National Research Council of Canada in 2005. She joint University of Connecticut in 2010 as a professor in sustainable energy. Her research focuses has been on the fuel cell, batteries, nanomaterials, and coatings. Currently, she is a Vice Presidents for Research at the University of Connecticut. She has published more than 150 papers in reputed journals

K.S. Hui received his PhD degree in mechanical engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2008. He hold faculty positions at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, (2008-13) and at Hanyang University, South Korea (2013-16). In 2016, he was appointed as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science, University of East Anglia, UK. He has extensive research experience in material science, catalysis, air/water pollution control, and energy storage. Thus far, his research has led to 1 US patent, 9 Korea application patents, 4 pending Korea application patents, 134 journal paper publications, 30 invited lectures, and >60 international conference presentations.

Hendrik Heinz completed his PhD in 2003 at ETH Zurich and carried out postdoctoral studies at the US Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder and enabled accurate simulations of complex biomolecular-material interfaces at the nanoscale by developing Interface Molecular Dynamics. He authored more than 70 publications and received several honors and awards.

Dr. Raju Kumar Gupta is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He graduated with a Ph.D. in 2010 from National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. He is recipient of several fellowships and awards, such as DST Inspire Faculty Award 2013, IAAM Young Scientist Award 2014, IEI Young Engineer Award (2014-15) and IAAM Scientist Medal 2017. A member of several international journal editorial boards, Dr. Gupta has authored more than 40 research articles in SCI journals, 3 books, and 10 book chapters.

Dr. Gregory Yablonsky is an Associate Professor of the Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology at the Saint Louis University (St. Louis, Missouri, USA), Fellow of Academy of Sciences in St. Louis. Yablonsky’s research expertise includes heterogeneous catalysis, kinetics of complex chemical reactions, mathematical modeling of chemical reactors and technological processes, history and methodology of science. Gregory Yablonsky is a world recognized expert in the area of chemical kinetics and chemical engineering, in catalytic technology particularly, which is one of main driving forces of sustainable development. He has authored five monographs on catalysis and chemical kinetics and more than 200 peer-reviewed papers on these topics. In 2013 Yablonsky got a “Lifetime Achievement Award” in recognition of outstanding contributions to the research field of chemical kinetics”. In 2014, Yablonsky received the Sarton’s Award on history of chemical kinetics Yablonsky was granted by the honorary doctor degree from the University of Ghent (Belgium). Dr. Guy Marin, of Belgium, who presented Dr. Yablonsky during the ceremony, called Yablonsky a “scientific catalyst” and “an inexhaustible source of scientific curiosity, always pushing colleagues towards new challenges and insights.”

Dr. Adango Miadonye, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry in the School of Science & Technology has received global recognition in the field of petroleum engineering and petroleum chemistry. His impressive publication record includes 80 peer-reviewed articles, numerous book chapters, and a number of presentations at important international conferences. An accomplished and respected student supervisor, Dr. Miadonye is extensively cited and has also formed the basis for a number of industrial collaborations. Well-respected by his colleagues nationally and internationally, Dr. Miadonye has been a leader and contributor to his professional academic community holding offices and serving on committees with numerous academic and professional societies.

His research interest includes how temperature and pressure affect the viscosity of bitumen and crude oil, green chemistry, sustainable solvents and processing, petroleum and petroleum products characterization, polymeric materials characterization and processing

Dr. Mehrvar joined Ryerson University, Canada, in 1998 and he is now a Full Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Dr. Mehrvar has a strong commitment to research. His main research interests include the integration of advanced oxidation technologies and biological processes for the treatment of water and wastewater as well as photochemical reaction engineering. He has authored/co-authored more than 85 refereed journal papers, 4 book chapters, 20 conference proceedings, and more than 150 presentations/abstracts. He has conducted more than 25 international invited seminars and workshops in different countries. He has also supervised/co-supervised more than 40 graduate students in both master’s and doctoral levels, more than 25 research assistants, exchange students, and visiting scholars, and many undergraduate fourth year’s theses. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of a newly created journal, American Journal of Modern Chemical Engineering. He has served as editorial board member of several refereed journals and as organizing and scientific committee member of several international conferences. Dr. Mehrvar is a licensed professional engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada.

M. A. Martin Luengo, studied chemistry in the UAM (Madrid, Spain). In the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC, Spain), she presented her Master work on oxidation catalysts and her phD on hydrogenation catalysts, both with honours. As a postdoctoral grant holder of the CSIC she worked in Brunel University (UK) and in the University of Louvain la Neuve (Belgium). She worked as a fellowship IA with the Scientific Engineering Research Council (UK), on Fischer Tropsch and from 1992 she is permanent scientific staff of CSIC (Spain). She has participated in more than 25 research projects, 100 scientific papers and chapters of books, 120 congresses, several patents, is chartered chemist of RSC and member of ACS and of the Spanish Societies of Catalysis and Clays.

Her research interest includes studies on sustainable issues, searching for the use of renewable materials, energies and chemical processes, especially giving priority to countries with deprived economies

Professor Ajay K. Ray, Chair of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Department at Western University, has made seminal research contributions in industrial process modeling and optimization; development of solar photocatalysis; and advancement of simulated moving bed technology for reactive separation. Dr. Ray has contributed to enhance engineering knowledge by devising innovative approaches to enhance process performance for applications in energy, environment, food and health, the key challenges facing the world. Dr. Ray is a prolific author, having written a text book on Engineering Mathematics and over 170 research articles in archival journals. The impact of his work is evident from high h-index and citations his published research articles have received. He has mentored over 60 graduate students. He is member of the editorial board of journals, recipient of the Research, Teaching and Faculty Scholars award, CrayQuest award, Distinguished Speakers award, and Distinguished Alumni award from Calcutta University.

Dr. Nicolas Abatzoglou is full professor and ex-Head of the Department of Chemical & Biotechnological Engineering of the Université de Sherbrooke. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and Laval University. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He is a specialist in Process Engineering involving particulate systems. He is the Director of the GRTP-C&P (Groupe of Research on Technologies and Processes in the Chemical & Pharmaceutical Industry). Since May 2008, he is the holder of the Pfizer Industrial Research Chair in Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) in Pharmaceutical Engineering. He is one of the Leaders in Canada’s NCE Network BioFuelNet on Biorefining. He is co-founder of the company Enerkem Technologies Inc., precursor of Enerkem Inc., a spin-off commercializing technologies in the field of energy from renewable resources. His scientific production includes a 100+ publications, reviews, conferences, keynotes, plenaries and invited lectures, patents and three book chapters.

His research interest includes Process Engineering involving particulate systems.

Professor Guangsheng LUO received his BSc. Degree in applied chemistry in 1988 and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering in 1993 at Tsinghua University. He worked at Caen University, France, as a Postdoctoral Research fellow from 1995 to 1996 and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, as a visiting scientist from 2001 to 2002. His research interests include micro-structured chemical systems, separation science and technology, mass transfer phenomena, and controllable preparation of functional Materials. He has published more than 300 peer reviewed papers and obtained more than 70 invention patents in China. He obtained the “National Outstanding Young Scientist Award” from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2005 and he was appointed as a Chungkung Professor by the Ministry of Education of China in 2009. He is now the director of the State Key Lab of Chemical Engineering.

Aymn Abdulrahman has completed his PhD at the age of 35 years from University of Maine, USA. He worked for 9 months in Arabian Petroleum Supply (APSCO) in Saudi Arabia and then about two years in sugar refinery as shift manager trainee between 2003 and 2006. Currently, he is an assistant professor and chairman of chemical engineering department at university of Jeddahthe, Suadi Arabia. He participated as a member and speaker in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE Annual Meeting) in Nashville, Tennessee, USA in 2009.

Abbas Amini is an assistant professor at Western Sydney University and Australian College of ACK, and the member of graduate supervisory board. After obtaining PhD, he conducted research with other Australian universities, as a postdoctoral research fellow at Monash and Deakin Universities, and as a senior research fellow at the University of Melbourne. His fine outcomes have been presented in high impact factor journals, e.g., Nature publication group, and a recent published book in 2016. Abbas is the editor of ten reputed journals, and the committee member of 20 international conferences.

Dr. Rehab O. Abdel Rahman is an associate professor of Chemical Nuclear Engineering at the Radioactive Waste Management Department, Hot Laboratories &Waste Management Center, Atomic Energy Authority of Egypt. She received her Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering. She authored more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 5 book chapters, and 1 monograph. Her research interests cover different aspects in radioactive waste management, including both predisposal and disposal activities. She serves as a verified reviewer in several international journals, member of organizing committees of international conferences, managing editor in IJEWM, and IJEE and editor of three books. She is a member in World Nuclear Association, Women In Nuclear, Egyptian society for radiation science and its application, Healthy Water Association, Egyptian engineers syndicate, and Organization for Women in Science for the Developing countries. Dr Rehab is an honored scientist of ASRT and of Publons sentinel of science. She is nominated as a member of IBC top engineers.

Naveed Akhtar is a Chief Scientist at AFC Energy, UK. Naveed has spent nearly 15 years of his life in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell related activities, covering both Academic and Industrial research. Naveed holds multidisciplinary academic background, i.e., B.Eng in Mechanical (Pak), M.Sc. in Renewable Energy (Germany) and PhD in Chemical Engineering (UK). In 2004, he established Pakistan's First Hydrogen Energy Laboratory. Due to his continued interest in fuel cells, he has worked/trained in many countries including, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada, Netherland, UK etc. He is amongst one of the experts around the world who have the opportunity to work on almost all major kinds of fuel cells, i.e. SOFC, PEMFC, DMFC and AFC. During his PhD, he investigated the performance of micro-tubular solid oxide fuel cells under single-chamber conditions. His research on this topic has the honor of the first modelling and experimental studies ever published. Naveed holds various prestigious awards/fellowships such as Dorothy Hodgkin Award, Marie Curie Fellowship, UNESCO Fellowship, Grove Fuel Cell Symposium Student Bursary, Universitas 21 Scholarship, DAAD Scholarship etc. He has published over 28 papers in scientific journals/proceedings and has filed 11 patents out of which 10 are published, other pending approval. Naveed has received the honorary recommendation from President International Association of Hydrogen Energy. His biography has been published annually in 28th -33rd edition (2011-2016) of “Who’s Who in the World”. Naveed has received the "best scientific paper" award at the 2013 PEFC & H2 Forum-Switzerland, Europe's most respected fuel cell event. He was a Member of Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of the 5th European PEFC & H2 Forum which was held at Lucerne, Switzerland in July 2015. Naveed will serve again as SAC in the upcoming 6th European PEFC & H2 Forum to be held at Lucerne in 2017. Naveed is a member of several professional institutions, such as PVS, ASME, ECS, IAHE, MIET, AASCIT and an affiliate member of IChemE. He is editorial board member of American Journal of Energy and Power Engineering.
